The Yale YS170 Doormaster lock is designed to provide robust security for your property overnight while you await the arrival of a replacement multipoint lock.
This lock comes equipped with a unique adjustable keep and screws, ensuring a secure fit for various door types.
Operation: The lock can be operated using either a lift lever or a split spindle mechanism.
Latch Reversal: To reverse the latch, simply undo the screw in the latch to remove it. Reverse the latch, reinsert it, and replace the screw to secure it back in place.
Nightlatch Reversal: To reverse the nightlatch function, first throw the locking points and locate the square hole on the side of the case adjacent to the latch. One side will feature a green-colored part, indicating the inside of the lock. From this side, the handle will withdraw the latch. The opposite side will only withdraw the latch using the key.
To reverse the latch, remove it and insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into the slot. Push the screwdriver in and hold it down while turning it 180 degrees, ensuring the green part is now on the opposite side. It’s crucial to keep the part pushed down during this process to ensure proper function reversal. Once completed, replace the latch, and the function will be successfully reversed.
