Distinctive Design and Dimensions
The ERA gearboxes feature a unique square design without corner cut-outs, measuring 221mm in overall length. The width is determined by the backset plus an additional 18mm. Available backsets include 30mm, 35mm, and 45mm, with all gearboxes maintaining consistent dimensions.
Locking Mechanisms
These gearboxes can accommodate various locking mechanisms:
- Classic deadbolt with standard euro cut out, Invincible cylinder cut out, or Vectis 5 lever mechanism.
- Hook bolt that throws upward.
Notably, the British Standard Fortress invincible gearbox includes hardened drill plates for enhanced security.
Interchangeability and Customization
Most ERA multipoint gearboxes are interchangeable, allowing for customization based on client needs. If a hook lock is required instead of a deadbolt or Vectis locking mechanism, we can build the lock to order.
