The Nico Restricted Egress Friction Hinge seamlessly integrates the functionality of standard restrictors with egress-only hinges. This innovative design not only prevents accidental falls through windows in its initial restricted mode but also provides a swift escape route in emergencies, such as a fire, when in the egress position.
Each hinge is supplied in matched pairs, with the restricted egress hinge installed at the bottom of the sash and a matched unrestricted egress hinge at the top. The hinge features a single restrictor button that is cleverly designed to be less appealing to children, ensuring safety without compromising accessibility. Additionally, the hinge automatically resets after being closed from the egress position.
