Multipoint Gearbox - Lift Lever or Split Spindle
Product Overview: Anglian Multipoint Door Lock Gearboxes
Anglian multipoint door lock gearboxes are designed with a unique square shape, featuring no corner cut-outs. Their dimensions are as follows:
- Overall Length: 221mm
- Width: Backset measurement plus 18mm
Backset Options:
- Available in 35mm or 45mm backsets.
Key Features:
- Latch Height: 24mm (with two distinctive screws)
- Deadbolt Height: 30mm
- Distance Between Latch and Deadbolt: 61mm
-
Screw Configuration: Secured to the faceplate with four screws, which is atypical for multipoint locks. The measurements between screw holes are:
- First to second: 37mm
- Second to third: 85mm
- Third to fourth: 43mm
Important Measurement Note: When measuring the backset, account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. Therefore, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure approximately 32mm when not attached to the strip.

- Locking Mechanism: Lift lever or split spindle.
Latch Reversal Instructions:
- Unscrew the latch to remove it.
- Reverse the latch and reinsert it.
- Replace the screws.
Nightlatch Split Spindle Reversal:

- Use a small bladed screwdriver to turn the screw 180 degrees.
- Return the latch to its correct position.
Locking the Door:
- Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
- Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
- Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key (note: on some brands, lifting the handle will throw the deadbolt).
Unlocking the Door:
- Unlock the system by turning the key.
- Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
- A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
