Description
Product Information
The DGS gearbox is designed for durability and ease of use, featuring a latch and deadbolt mechanism. It measures 208mm in height (excluding the fixing lugs) and has a width of backset + 19mm.
Key dimensions include:
- Latch Height: 32mm
- Deadbolt Height: 35mm
- Gap from Latch to Deadbolt: 54mm
Installation is straightforward, with the gearbox fixed to its faceplate using three screws. The screw placements are as follows:
- Top to Middle Screw Distance: 108mm
- Middle to Bottom Screw Distance: 92mm
The follower measures 8mm, with the surrounding thickness varying between 30mm (thicker) and 35/45mm (thinner).
When measuring your backset, always allow an additional 2mm if the gearbox is removed from the faceplate.
Functionality
The DGS gearboxes are exclusively available in a lift lever function. Note that the split spindle and fast locking functions are now obsolete; if you require either of these, a new style full-length lock will be necessary.
