Installation Notes:

Gearboxes are secured to faceplates with three screws and are not interchangeable with other Lockmaster locks.

When measuring the backset, remember to account for the faceplate thickness.
Locking Mechanism:
To lock the door:
- Close the door to engage the latch automatically.
- Lift the handle to activate additional locking points.
- Throw the deadbolt by turning the key (some models may throw the deadbolt by lifting the handle).
To unlock the door:
- Turn the key to unlock the system.
- Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
- A quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
Latch Release Instructions:
If the latch is pushed in before installation, it may stick. To release the latch:
- If your lock has a square hold-back spindle follower, turn it to release the latch.
- If it features a hollow white plastic piece, insert a screwdriver and push down to release.
- If neither is present, use a normal handle spindle to pull the lever down and lift it fully up to release the latch.
