Introducing the Kenrick Excalibur Double-Spindle Gearbox, designed for versatility and ease of use. This gearbox features dual followers that are sprung, allowing you the flexibility to choose between sprung or unsprung door handles.
The Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes come in both single and double spindle configurations, with center measurements of either 92mm or 62mm and 92mm. The overall height of the gearbox is 225mm, securely fixed to the faceplate with three screw holes for stability.
A notable feature of the Kenrick Excalibur is the bolt-through handle fixing hole located 21mm from the top of the case, positioned above the top spindle, which is 128mm from the bottom of the gearbox. This design aids in identifying compatible handles.
When measuring the backset, remember to account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure approximately 32mm when not attached to the strip.
Additionally, the Kenrick Excalibur multipoint door gearboxes are equipped with a small plastic snib on the faceplate, providing convenience by holding the latch back and preventing accidental lock-outs.
While the Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes share similarities with the Fullex XL series and Ingenious gearboxes, it's important to note that both Ingenious and Fullex XL multipoint gearboxes measure 230mm, making them 5mm larger than the Kenrick Excalibur.
