Product Overview

Introducing our Mila copy gearbox, a cost-effective alternative to original locks. This gearbox is designed for easy installation, but please remember that it will only function correctly when attached to the faceplate and connecting rods. Ensure you have self-tapping screws (Part Number: M430CSK) for a secure fit.

Installation Notes

• Fixing points are not threaded; M4 x 10mm self-tapping screws are required for installation.

Product Variants

Mila gearboxes come in two configurations: latch-only and latch with deadbolt, available in both single and double spindle options.

• Latch-only Versions:

  • Single spindle
  • Backsets: 25mm, 28mm, 35mm, 45mm

• Latch and Deadbolt Versions:

  • Single spindle (92mm PZ)
  • Backsets: 35mm, 45mm
  • Double spindle available only with a 35mm backset
  • Double spindle lock features a 70mm/92mm PZ measurement

Despite the variety in backsets and configurations, the dimensions of Mila gearboxes remain consistent:

• Distance between latch and deadbolt: 80mm

Compatibility Considerations

Be aware that some older locks may have an offset or cranked connector. This is particularly relevant when replacing a gearbox rather than a full-length lock. Replacement gearboxes now feature inline connectors, which are compatible with older locks. However, you may need to adapt the drive gear behind the faceplate. Refer to our technical guide for detailed instructions, including cutting a square hole in the drive gear to create a slot for proper functionality.

Operation Instructions

To Lock the Door:

1. Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
2. Secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable) by turning the key.

To Unlock the Door:

1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
