    Product Specification

To measure the backset, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the Door Edge: Locate the edge of the door where the lock will be installed.

  2. Measure from the Edge: Use a tape measure to find the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the lock cylinder or the latch. This distance is your backset measurement.

  3. Check for Standard Sizes: Common backset sizes are typically 35mm or 45mm, so ensure your measurement aligns with these standards.

To measure the centres (PZ), do the following:

  1. Locate the Cylinder: Identify the position of the cylinder on the door.

  2. Measure from the Cylinder to the Handle: Measure the distance from the center of the cylinder to the center of the handle. This distance is your PZ measurement.

  3. Confirm with Specifications: Ensure that your measurement matches the specified 92mm for the centres.

Regarding the operation of the Lift Lever or Split Spindle Nightlatch:

  • Lift Lever: This operation involves lifting the handle to engage the locking mechanism. It is typically used for ease of access and security.

  • Split Spindle Nightlatch: This allows the handle to operate independently from the lock, meaning you can open the door from the inside without unlocking it from the outside. This feature is particularly useful for emergency exits or when you want to keep the door secure while still allowing free movement inside.

These specifications ensure that your locking system functions effectively and meets your security needs.
