Briton 1413E Outside Access Device for Timber or Metal Doors
The Briton 1413E is a reliable outside access device designed for both timber and metal doors. This knob version features a Euro cylinder, ensuring enhanced security and ease of use.
Key Features:
- Knob Version with Euro Cylinder: Ideal for seamless integration into your existing door setup.
- Adaptor Plate Required: If replacing the original Rim cylinder version, an adaptor plate (Part Number - 1413AP) may be necessary to cover the original screw holes.
Operation:
- Locked State: When locked, the knob disengages from the mechanism and spins freely, preventing unauthorized entry.
- Unlocked State: When unlocked, the knob, spindle, and mechanism engage, allowing the shoot bolts, latch, or Pullman latches to be withdrawn from outside the door.
- Post-Entry: After opening the door from the outside, the knob remains unlocked until it is re-locked with a key. Please note that this unit is NOT self-locking.
