Yale YS170 Multipoint Door Lock Overview
The Yale YS170 multipoint door lock is designed for enhanced security and ease of use, featuring a robust configuration of 3 hooks and 1 latch. This lock is ideal for various door types, including UPVC, aluminum, timber, and composite doors.

Distinctive Identification: Each lock is stamped with the Yale logo, making it easy to identify. The lock features a 92mm PZ (centres) configuration, with the hook positioned below the latch, differentiating it from the Yale G2000 model.

Gearbox Variants: The YS170 gearboxes come in 35mm or 45mm backsets, equipped with a split spindle mechanism that can function as a lift lever when using a solid spindle.

Dimensions: Gearboxes measure 217mm high plus backset +18mm. The latch and deadbolt both measure 28mm high, with a 53mm distance between the latch and hook.

Screw Hole Configuration: Gearboxes are fitted to faceplates with three screw holes, with measurements of 110mm from the top to middle screw hole and 52mm from the middle to bottom.
Operation Instructions:
To lock the door:
- Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
- Turn the key to secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable).
To unlock the door:
- Turn the key to unlock the system.
- Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
Corrosion Resistance: The Yale YS170 has been tested to BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 4 (240 hours NSST), ensuring durability and reliability.
Latch Reversal Instructions: To reverse the latch, simply undo the screw(s) (depending on the model), remove the latch, reverse it, and reinsert the screw(s).
