Product Overview: ERA Vectis Deadbolt Gearbox
The ERA Vectis deadbolt genuine gearbox is designed for versatility and security, featuring a split spindle and available in 35mm or 45mm backsets. With 95mm centres, this gearbox is compatible with any ERA multipoint lock, allowing for seamless mortice locking.
Key Features:
- Interchangeability: Vectis cases can be swapped with any ERA multipoint lock.
- Keying Options: Supplied with 3 keys; can be keyed alike in-house (Genuine Key Blank: 611V).
- Distinctive Design: Square design with a UK keyway for traditional mortice keys.
- Dimensions: Overall length of 221mm; width is backset plus 18mm.
- Locking Mechanisms: Options for classic deadbolt, hook bolt, or Vectis 5 lever mechanism.
Specifications:
- Backset Options: 35mm or 45mm (regular ERA gearboxes also available in 30mm).
- Latch and Deadbolt Heights: 24mm high latch, 30mm high deadbolt, with 61mm spacing.
- Screw Configuration: Held onto the faceplate with 4 screws; specific measurements for screw holes provided.
Installation and Operation:

Latch Reversal: Easily reversible by undoing screws in the latch.

Nightlatch Reversal: Adjust the small screw within the latch for reversal.

Locking Procedure:
- Close the door to engage the latch.
- Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
- Throw the deadbolt and lock by turning the key.

Unlocking Procedure:
- Turn the key to unlock.
- Push the handle down to disengage locking points.
- A quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
