KFV Multipoint Door Lock Gearboxes
KFV multipoint door lock gearboxes are designed for durability and security, featuring a single spindle and 92mm centres. These gearboxes are ideal for modern KFV locks, as they are riveted onto strips and require drilling and re-riveting for installation.

Compatibility:
- Only compatible with newer KFV locks; older versions have different connectors.
- Older KFV gearboxes use 1/8" rivets for attachment, while newer models are screwed to the faceplate.

Lock Variants:
- Available as lift lever or key wind variants. Note that these cannot be interchanged.

Backset Measurement:
- When measuring backset, allow 2-3mm for the faceplate. For example, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.

Installation Considerations:
- Early KFV models may have different rivet spacing and connectors, which could complicate replacement if only the gearbox is being changed.

Operating Instructions:
To Lock the Door:
- Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
- Lock the locking points and main deadbolt (if present) by turning the key.
To Unlock the Door:
- Unlock the system by turning the key.
- Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
