Product Information: Origin Multipoint Gearbox
The Origin multipoint gearbox features a unique double spindle arrangement with centers at 62mm and 92mm. Both followers are unsprung, so we recommend using sprung door furniture for optimal performance. Additionally, the top corner of the gearbox is cut out for enhanced functionality.

Backset Measurement:
When measuring the backset, allow for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For example, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.
Convenience Feature:
Origin multipoint door gearboxes include a small plastic snib on the faceplate, which can hold the latch back for convenience and help prevent accidental lock-outs.
Compatibility Note:
Origin gearboxes are similar in appearance to the Fullex XL series (also 230mm). To ensure compatibility, we recommend comparing the hook boxes against provided images, as they are distinct.
Operation:
- Types: Lift lever or double spindle
- Latch Reversal: To reverse the latch, undo the screw, remove it, reverse, reinsert, and replace the screws.
Locking Procedure:
- Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
- Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
- Throw the deadbolt and lock the system by turning the key (note: on some brands, the deadbolt will engage by lifting the handle).
Unlocking Procedure:
- Unlock the system by turning the key.
- Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
- A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
