Introducing our versatile Goldline gearbox, designed for optimal security and functionality. Available in two backset options—35mm and 45mm—this gearbox features both a latch and deadbolt mechanism, ensuring robust performance. The 45mm version utilizes a 35mm case with an extended latch and deadbolt, complemented by a 10mm packer piece for enhanced fit.
This gearbox is equipped with a double spindle and is unsprung, making it essential to pair it with sprung door handles for optimal operation. The double spindle locks come with 62mm and 92mm centres, allowing for flexibility in installation. They can function as either a lift lever or a double spindle night latch.
Dimensions and Specifications
- Gearbox Dimensions: 228mm high, with a backset measurement plus 15mm.
- Latch and Deadbolt Height: Both measure 30mm.
- Distance Between Latch and Deadbolt: 65mm.
- Faceplate Fitting: Designed with three screw holes; the top to middle screw hole measures 109mm, and the middle to bottom also measures 109mm.
Earlier models of this gearbox included a small spindle hole at the top of the case, located near the latch, which was used to hold the latch back.
Operation Instructions
To operate the gearbox:

Locking the Door:
- Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
- Secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable) by turning the key.

Unlocking the Door:
- Turn the key to unlock the system.
- Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
