Introducing the Avocet Replacement Spindle Shank, a crucial component designed to restore functionality to your Avocet Multipoint Door Lock gearboxes. The spindle follower, often referred to as a "shank," is the most common part to fail in these systems. Crafted from durable cast metal, this follower features an 8mm square opening that accommodates the lever spindle. Over time, wear and tear can lead to cracks at the corners, resulting in drooping or inoperable lever handles. This failure can stem from misuse or damage accumulated over the years.
If you've encountered issues with your existing Avocet gearbox, replacing the faulty spindle shank with our replacement unit is a straightforward solution. This simple swap can significantly extend the lifespan of your locking mechanism.
Both top (92mm PZ) and bottom (62mm PZ) followers utilize the same shank design, making this part versatile for either application. Please note that these spindle shanks are sold individually, so if both followers are damaged, you will need to purchase two units.
