The Mila Milamaster multipoint door lock is designed for enhanced security and durability, featuring a robust configuration that includes:

This lock is equipped with anti lift pins positioned below each hook, providing an additional layer of security. It is important to note that this double spindle version is unsprung and should only be paired with sprung handles. If you are replacing a single spindle version, you may need to change the handles to avoid interference with the lower spindle hole, or alternatively, you can opt for a single spindle lockcase.

Identifying Milamaster locks is straightforward once removed from the door, even without the logo on the faceplate. Look for upward throwing locks, often featuring an anti lift pin, and a large gearbox measuring 228mm.

Lockmaster door locks are the best-selling multipoint door locks in the UK. Acquired by Yale in the early 2010s, they are now part of a broader range that includes Yale, Millenco, Millenco Mantis, and Lockmaster brands. Be aware that some older Milamaster locks may have slightly different locking point locations, which could necessitate enlarging the routing prep on the door by 40-50mm and repositioning the keeps.

Specifications and Features

Milamaster gearboxes come in 35mm or 45mm backsets, available in either double spindle or single spindle mechanisms.

• Double Spindle Locks: Feature 62mm and 92mm centres, are unsprung, and are suitable for lift lever or double spindle nightlatch functions.
• Single Spindle Locks: Sprung and can only be used as a lift lever function.

The gearboxes measure 228mm high plus the backset, with the latch and deadbolt both measuring 30mm high. The distance between the latch and deadbolt is 65mm.

Operation Instructions

To lock the door:

1. Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
2. Lift the handle to engage the locking points.
3. Turn the key to lock the system.

To unlock the door:

1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
2. Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
3. A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.

• Corrosion tested to BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 4 (240hrs. NSST).

Latch Reversal

To reverse the latch, simply undo the screw(s), remove the latch, reverse it, and reinsert the screw(s).
