The Elite Standard multipoint door lock is designed for durability and security, featuring a robust configuration that includes 1 Roller, 1 Hook, 1 Deadbolt, and 1 Latch.
Crafted in Europe, these locks are enhanced with a "Silbear" coating, providing exceptional resistance with 480 hours of salt spray protection, making them ideal for various environments.
To identify an Elite lock, look for the stamped Elite logo on the faceplate. The gearbox is uniquely designed with a slot and a small hole for bolt-through handles, ensuring compatibility and ease of installation.
These locks are a continuation of the trusted Roto-Frank range, utilizing the same tooling and specifications, but with the added benefit of the Silbear coating. While gearboxes from the original locks cannot be interchanged, a complete lock swap is straightforward.
Available in both standard and compact versions, Elite locks maintain a consistent handle height of 950mm, while the overall length is reduced to 1810mm for shorter doors.
The gearboxes come in various configurations, including a 35mm single spindle or double spindle options (35mm or 45mm). When measuring for installation, remember to account for the 2mm faceplate thickness.
The deadbolt projects 20mm and measures 32mm in height, while the latch stands at 30mm high with a 10mm projection. The spacing between the latch and deadbolt is 63mm, with centres positioned at 62mm and 92mm.
Elite hooks are versatile, capable of throwing in opposite directions or upwards, depending on the model, and share the same Silbear coating for enhanced durability.
Rollers play a crucial role in compression, securing the door against the frame to prevent dust and water ingress. While they primarily aid in weather sealing, they also help maintain the door's structural integrity by preventing warping.
For optimal performance, Elite rollers are adjustable by +/- 1.2mm, ensuring a perfect fit.
Operation Instructions:
To Lock the Door:
- Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
- Lift the handle to engage the locking points.
- Turn the key to secure the system.
To Unlock the Door:
- Turn the key to unlock the system.
- Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
- A quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
With 480 hours of salt spray testing to EN1675 Grade 5, the Elite Standard multipoint door lock is a reliable choice for UPVC and aluminium doors.
