Product Overview: ERA Hookbolt Multipoint Door Lock

The ERA Hookbolt multipoint door lock is engineered for security and reliability, featuring a robust design with 4 rollers, 3 hooks, and 1 latch. This lock is a popular choice in the UK market, known for its versatility and ease of installation.

Key Features:

  • Versatile Branding: ERA locks may be stamped with various brand names such as Homesafe, Surelock, Saracen, Spartan, Duraflex, Supa, Westward, or Cego, making identification straightforward yet requiring attention to detail.

  • Design Compatibility: Originally designed to replace GU, Lockmaster, and Winkhaus locks, these locks come in two options, ensuring compatibility without the need for new routing positions.

  • Distinctive Gearbox: The ERA multipoint door lock gearbox is uniquely designed with a square shape and no corner cutouts, measuring 221mm in length. Available backsets include 30mm, 35mm, or 45mm, all maintaining consistent dimensions.

  • Locking Mechanism: Featuring a split spindle mechanism, the lock simplifies replacements by focusing on one locking function. The gearboxes can be interchanged (except for the British Standard Fortress lock), allowing for customization based on client needs.

Locking Arrangements:

  • Standard Hook: This smaller hook case is ideal for tight routing situations, making it perfect for replacing obsolete locks.

  • Security Steel Hook: A larger hook case that enhances security, though it may require modifications to the door for installation.

Roller Functionality:

Rollers play a crucial role in compressing the door against the frame, preventing dust and water ingress while also supporting the door to avoid warping. They are adjustable by +/- 1mm for optimal weather sealing.

Operation Instructions:

To lock the door:

  1. Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
  2. Turn the key to secure the locking points and main deadbolt (if applicable).

To unlock the door:

  1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
  2. Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.

Compliance and Testing:

  • Meets BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 4 Corrosion Resistance (240 hours).
  • Endurance tested to 50,000 cycles.
  • Designed to comply with PAS24:2012 standards for enhanced security.

Additional Products:

We offer a comprehensive range of associated products for ERA Hookbolt multipoint door locks, including keeps, spindles, handles, and accessories to ensure complete solutions for your locking needs.

Centres PZ Measurement:
Measure the distance from the center of the keyhole to the center of the handle hole. This will help you determine the PZ measurement.
