This version of the ERA gearbox features a hookbolt instead of a deadbolt but is otherwise dimensionally identical to standard ERA gearboxes.
ERA multipoint door lock gearboxes are easily recognized by their distinctive square-shaped case with no corner cut-outs. The gearbox measures 221mm in overall length, while the width is calculated as the backset plus 18mm.
Available Backsets
ERA gearboxes are available in backset sizes of 30mm or 35mm. Despite the different backset options, the overall gearbox dimensions remain the same across the range. This hookbolt version features a 5mm thick bolt, compared to the 6mm bolt found on the standard version. Other key dimensions include:
- Latch height: 24mm
- Hookbolt height: 30mm
- Distance between latch and hookbolt: 61mm
The latch can be identified by its two distinctive fixing screws. This gearbox is ideal as a replacement for most ERA multipoint door locks, offering straightforward compatibility across the majority of the ERA range.
