Genuine Multipoint Gearbox Old Style Case A - Lift Lever or Split Spindle
Product Overview: Fullex Genuine A Gearbox
The Fullex Genuine A Gearbox is designed for older Fullex locks featuring a split spindle function. With a backset of 39mm, this gearbox is compatible with locks that have wider faceplates, ensuring a secure fit and reliable operation.
Specifications:
- Backset: 39mm
- Measurement: 35/68
- Obsolete Cases: B-G (Centre cases B, E & G are no longer available)
Operation Modes:
- Lift Lever
- Split Spindle
Latch Reversal Instructions:
To reverse the latch, simply undo the screw in the latch, remove it, reverse its position, and reinsert it before replacing the screw.
Nightlatch Reversal:
The lock is initially set as a lift lever function. To convert it to a split spindle function, follow these steps:
- Locate the travel pin surrounding the spindle hole.
- Simultaneously lift the outside handle up and the inside handle down.
- Listen for the crunching noise indicating the pin has broken.
Once the travel pin is broken, the split spindle function is activated. Ensure the spindles are positioned correctly: the longer spindle goes on the inside, overlapping two parts, while the shorter spindle fits on the outside, engaging only with the first part.
Locking Procedure:
- Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
- Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
- Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key (note: on some brands, lifting the handle will throw the deadbolt).
Unlocking Procedure:
- Unlock the system by turning the key.
- Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
- A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
This comprehensive guide ensures you can effectively operate and maintain your Fullex Genuine A Gearbox for optimal security and functionality.
