Introducing the genuine replacement hook bolt gearbox for Safeware multipoint door locks. Designed for durability and reliability, this gearbox features a 35mm backset, a latch, and a hook bolt, all in an unsprung configuration.
Safeware gearboxes closely resemble the Lockmaster range, featuring a central hook that operates by throwing downwards. These gearboxes are exclusively available in a double spindle operation, with PZ measurements of 92mm and 62mm.
Notably, Safeware gearboxes are the largest on the market, measuring 255mm in height and 50mm in width. The latch and hook both measure 30mm high, with an 80mm distance between the bottom of the latch and the top of the hook.
Due to their length, these gearboxes secure to their faceplates with four screws. The screw measurements are as follows: the distance from the top to the next screw is 55mm, the second screw is 80mm apart, and the third to last screw measures 108mm.
Operation: Lift Lever or Double Spindle
Latch Reversal: To reverse the latch, simply undo the screw, remove the latch, reverse it, reinsert, and replace the screw.
Note: This gearbox is often confused with the Lockmaster case due to their similar styles. However, the Lockmaster case height is 228mm, while the Safeware measures 255mm.
