The Copy Yale G2000 lock is designed with a unique configuration, featuring a hook positioned above the latch. As Yale has discontinued these locks, the most effective solution for maintenance is often to replace the gearbox. Our replacement gearbox is a direct substitute, ensuring compatibility and functionality.

Color Identification: If you're replacing a gearbox, it's likely that the original was yellow or gold, as the locks were initially made with yellow chromate. However, all replacement gearboxes, whether genuine or copies, are silver.

Dimensions: The G2000 gearboxes measure 194mm in height and 52mm in width. The latch itself is 30mm high, with a distance of 55mm from the top of the latch to the bottom of the hook.

Locking and Unlocking Instructions:
To Lock the Door:
- Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
- Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
- Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key (note: on some brands, lifting the handle will throw the deadbolt).
To Unlock the Door:
- Turn the key to unlock the system.
- Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
- A further quarter turn of the key will retract the latch.
