Locking Mechanism: The Fercomatic operates similarly to the Tripact lock but includes a unique pin between the latch and deadbolt, allowing for automatic engagement of the locking points when the door closes. This innovative design is a precursor to modern slam shut locks.

Operation Instructions:
To lock the door:
- Lift the handle upwards to engage the locking points.
- Turn the key to secure the locking points and main deadbolt.
To unlock the door:
- Turn the key to unlock the system.
- Push the handle downwards to disengage the locking points and retract the latch.
