Description
Product Overview: Kenrick Excalibur Multipoint Door Lock
The Kenrick Excalibur multipoint door lock is designed for enhanced security and durability, featuring a robust configuration that includes 3 rollers, 2 hooks, 1 latch, and 2 anti-lift bolts. This lock is ideal for both UPVC and aluminium doors, ensuring a secure fit for various applications.
Identification Tips
Identifying a Kenrick Excalibur lock can be challenging due to similarities with other brands. Look for the brand name stamped on the faceplate, and check for the Secured By Design logo. A small black snib located below the latch can also help in identification, although similar features may be found in locks from other manufacturers like ERA and Ingenious.
For the most accurate identification, we recommend removing the lock from the door, especially if the faceplate branding is unclear or if the lock has been rebranded.
Specifications
- Gearbox Options: Available in single or double spindle configurations, with centers at either 92mm or 62mm.
- Dimensions: The overall height of the lock is 225mm, secured with 3 screw holes on the faceplate.
- Bolt Fixings: A hole above the top spindle allows for bolt-through handle fixings, with the top spindle positioned 128mm from the bottom of the gearbox.
- Backset Measurement: When measuring the backset, account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For example, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.
Security Features
The Kenrick Excalibur lock is built with security in mind. The hooks are crafted from sintered steel, providing resistance against forced entry. The main gearbox features an upward-throwing hook, while outer hooks are bi-directional, enhancing the door's stability. Steel anti-lift bolts further secure the door against unauthorized access.
