Product Overview: Kenrick Excalibur Gearboxes

Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes are designed for versatility and reliability, available in both single and double spindle configurations. With centers at either 92mm or 62mm and 92mm, these gearboxes accommodate a variety of door handle styles, offering the option of sprung or unsprung handles.

• Dimensions:

  • Overall height: 225mm
  • Fixed to the faceplate with 3 screw holes for secure installation.

• Handle Fixings:

  • A 21mm hole above the top spindle allows for bolt-through handle fixings.
  • The top spindle measures 128mm from the bottom of the gearbox, aiding in handle compatibility.

• Backset Measurement:

  • When measuring the backset, account for an additional 2-3mm for the faceplate. For instance, a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not attached to the strip.

• Convenience Feature:

  • A small plastic snib on the faceplate holds the latch back, preventing accidental lock-outs.

• Compatibility:

  • While Kenrick Excalibur gearboxes resemble the Fullex XL series and Ingenious gearboxes, they are slightly smaller at 225mm compared to the 230mm of their counterparts.

Locking and Unlocking Instructions:

To Lock the Door:

1. Close the door to automatically engage the latch.
2. Lift the handle to engage additional locking points.
3. Throw the deadbolt and secure the system by turning the key (note: some brands may throw the deadbolt by lifting the handle).

To Unlock the Door:

1. Turn the key to unlock the system.
2. Push the handle down to disengage the locking points.
