2 Hook Refurb Kit
Product Information
This kit contains all the necessary components to refurbish any Fuhr Multisafe 856 or 859 series multipoint door lock, featuring a latch and deadbolt center case, along with 2 Fuhr Type 3 hookbolt cases.
These kits provide a convenient solution for repairing and recommissioning failed multipoint door lock mechanisms, all packaged in a box no larger than a pizza!
Most multipoint locks require replacement due to failures in one or more locking points, the spindle follower, or internal parts within the main gearbox. Typically, the faceplate and drive rods remain undamaged and can be reused. Our Refurb Kits include all the bolt-on components of the multipoint lock system, allowing for a complete replacement of these critical parts and a total overhaul of the lock.
One major benefit of this approach is the compact packaging, making it feasible to stock everything needed to refurbish all popular locks from UK manufacturers. By eliminating the need to identify and order a full-length, like-for-like replacement, the Refurb Kit system enables a lock to be removed, repaired, and recommissioned quickly—all in a single visit. No need to identify the exact model number, wait for delivery, or handle parcels over 2 meters long. Simply select the refurb kit that matches the gearbox and locking point options from your van stock, fit the components to the old lock's faceplate, and reinstate the lock, confident that all moving and locking components are brand new.
No waiting, no trimming, no roof racks, no catalogs! With the Refurb Kit solution, one visit stocked with the right kit means a lock back in working order and a satisfied customer, eliminating the need for return visits. Say goodbye to follow-up visit cancellations or losing out to competitors due to the cost or availability of full-length mechanisms!
In addition to the convenience outlined above, the efficiency of the Refurb Kit solution offers significant environmental benefits. With a dramatic reduction in parcel size and the elimination of next-day delivery for single like-for-like full-length replacements, vehicle emissions per job and packaging waste per item are both significantly reduced. This makes the Refurb Kit system the most sustainable option for replacing a failed multipoint lock.

To ensure you select the correct components for your refurbishment, here are some quick measuring tips:
Backset Measurement:
- Measure from the edge of the door to the center of the keyhole or handle.
- This distance is your backset.
Centres PZ Measurement:
- Measure from the center of the keyhole to the center of the handle.
- This measurement is crucial for ensuring compatibility with your lock system.
Operation Selection:
- Choose the operation type based on how the lock engages (e.g., key, thumb turn).
- Ensure it matches your existing setup for seamless integration.
By following these guidelines, you can confidently select the right specifications for your Fuhr multipoint door lock refurbishment.
