Rim mounted sash and dead locks are an excellent choice for solid doors and gates, offering convenient security without the need for morticing. These locks are fixed directly to the surface on the inside of the door, making them particularly popular in Victorian-style domestic properties.
The Union 1445 Rim Sashlock is a cost-effective, non-handed option designed for basic security in residential or light commercial environments. Its two-way keyhole allows for easy mounting in either orientation, eliminating the need for re-handing. The lock comes with two extended-length keys that can reach through the door's thickness from the outside. The 1445 features a bevelled edge and rounded corners for a polished look.
This lock is compatible with rim knob furniture, where the knob controls the latch, and the key operates the deadbolt from both sides of the door.
Available in black with electro brass features, the lock is supplied bagged with a staple and two keys.
